About Sensei Karim

Being a master of multiple martial arts – Aikido, Jiu Jitsu, Karate, and Krav Maga- teaching for over 30 years in different parts of the world, Sensei Karim adds his own spin in the different martial arts he teaches. By tweaking and adding his own spin he creates an entirely different method of utilizing his knowledge in effective and easy-to-learn self defense techniques. He is the first of his clan who started Japanese martial arts.

• 1986

  His target was to pursue medicine. He got a chance to start his medical classes in the city of Tuzla in Old Republic Yugoslavia.

• 1989

  He moved to Bulgaria and commenced practicing karate at the age of 28 in the city of Sofia, karate-do (Kanzanryu) until completion of brown belt. He started Aikido as a private student of Sensei Edward Germanov, the president of the Bulgarian Aikido Association under Patronage of American Aikido Association by Fumio Toyoda Shihan.

• 1994

  In June of 1994 he got his first dan black belt from karate club Ikken from Shihan Dimiter Angelov in Sofia and become a loyal member of Bulgarian karate federation and WKF. He later got Shodan black belt in Dec 1994 in less than 2 years.

• 1998

  He started his own organization sports center Funa in Sofia, Bulgaria.

• 2002

  He became an official member of Aikikai with the support of Shihan Andrew Sato.

• 2004

  He established aikido association in Dubai which was recognized by Ministry of Sports in the UAE.

• 2006

  Sensei Karim Dizaj followed AWA of Shihan Sato and was officially affiliated by AWA in Qatar, GCC and the Middle East at large.

• 2007

  He shifted to Qatar for a sport promotions which was initiated by the Qatari government. Sensei Dizaj started to build up on 2007 Musashi International Martial Arts Academy recognized by AWA in Doha, Qatar. He is currently the manager and chief instructor of the academy.

• 2008

  He started teaching karate in recognition by Qatar Karate Federation.
